Personal Information - Part A

This application is for students who are 12-14 years old and would like to be Counselor in Training (CIT) with Camp Good News (day camp). Please consider the following:

All CIT's

Are eligible for salary starting at $170 per week when they are 14 years of age and have completed one year of CIT. May volunteer their time if they choose to. They must also complete training days on June 14th 10am-2pm.

Must be 14 yrs old to work overnight camp.

The typical hours for all weeks that you apply for are 8:30 AM - 4:15 PM for day camp and 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM for Camp Good News on the Go.

For 12-13 years, they must complete training on June 14th 10am-2pm. 14 year olds will have training May 31st 9am-3pm and June 14th from 9:30am-4pm.

If 12-13 years old, you can only work a maximum of four weeks. 14 years old can work as many weeks as they are available.

1. Ask God for wisdom to know how much you should work.

Our Purpose

·Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF) exists to evangelize children with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish them in a local church and the Word of God for Christian growth.

Our Doctrine

Camp Good News Worker Agreement

As a Camp Good News staff member for CEF of Fargo/Moohead, I shall strive to:

1. Model the Christian lifestyle, whether on or off duty, in my relationships with parents, children, staff, etc;

2. Maintain my own spiritual health through daily Bible reading and prayer;

3. Endeavor not to be a stumbling block to any child, parent, or staff;

4. Follow the policies in the staff handbook to the best of my ability;

5. Be willing to volunteer help above and beyond my specified duties;

6. Be cheerful in the execution of my duties;

7. Commit to praying for each staff member and work to get along with each staff member;

8. Cheerfully submit to the authority of the CEF director and his representatives.

I understand that CEF F/M will in return:

1. Provide me with a salary (if 14 yrs old) and training;

2. Help me with problems I face as a Camp Good News staff member;

3. Arrange for time off if necessary when circumstances permit;

4. Help me adjust to my responsibilities and acquaint me with the CEF goals, philosophies, doctrinal statement, and policies; and

5. Will not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, national origin, age or handicap.

Waivers for Minors Serving in Ministry

A Camp Good News staff member is never alone with a fellow minor or adult of the opposite gender. Exceptions to this policy may only be granted in an absolutely unavoidable circumstance and only with the permission of the chapter director and the student's parent/legal guardian.
